I like clichés because they are true. -Day 14 of #28daysofstuffthatmatters

I like quotes, everyone knows that about me. I’m always a walking book of quotes, whether it’s printed on my t-shirt, the travel-coffee-mug I’m holding or all the posters up in my room. I love a good quote. Something I was starting to be ashamed of, because you know, it’s cheesy and there’s so much more to me than cheesy quotes, but then I heard someone say; “I like clichés because they are true.” -JUST LIKE MY QUOTES!

So today’s ‘stuff’ that matters spreads across two important topics. The first, be all of YOU, don’t doubt yourself so much, stop being so hard on the person you were created to be, and again, stop effing (sorry mom) caring what people think about you!! Be completely yourself and then you’ll never worry if people are sticking around for who you are or the person you think they want you to be.

And then the second, QUOTES ARE GREAT and so are clichés, because, just like that dude said, they are true! And how great to be able to hold on to TRUTH!? Yeah man. So on that note, I will leave you all with a few of my favourites, let them sink in, turn them into daily mantras or better yet, find a few of your own, write down what’s really important to you and your heart and let the words under your skin, sinking deep into all that you are.

“We make our lives most meaningful when we connect ourselves to issues that we find the most important.
We contribute -to this issue-so that because we lived, something has gone better than it would have otherwise.” Peter Singer

“You can be in love with one thousand views and skylines and souls and minds at once. Don’t apologize for your burn, your passion, or your enthusiasm. Enthusiasm propels the world.” Victoria Erickson

“Courage is knowing what not to fear” Plato

“Your mistakes do not define you.” Psalm 37:24

Hold tight and never lose your desire to wander,

whether it’s mentally, physically or emotionally, there will always be more to explore!
